Indonesia's general elections will be held in 2014. It is still far, but political activities to that end have started to squirm. This can be seen from the rise of the so-called survey or polling institutions, gathering public opinion related to certain parties or political figures, which many observers questioned. There is a possibility that the action is used just to boost the image of the party and its candidates to seek support as well to see the area to become its base of support.
In addition, many observers see the results of the survey on the popularity of a particular party or leader as invalid and tend to lead the public to support certain party leaders. Some even call it as veiled campaign. But whatever happens today in Indonesia, the emergence of the research institutes is a form of political dynamics that continue to evolve in our country.
Indonesia at present is still searching for a suitable format and form in democratic politics after the era of the authoritarian New Order regime collapsed. But after having entered the era of reform for more than 10 years, political life in Indonesia is still growing.
