The year 2012 has just started two months, but some transportion accidents have colored the water dragon year. Many people assessed that the lack of the means of transportation has caused the accident. However, on the other hand cases of human error could also be the cause. If we examine further, all the accident in both the land, sea and air were related to each other, they did not stand alone. Good regulation can not promise a good and convenient transportation. Not to mention supporting transport infrastructure. Seriousness, high awareness and noble intentions of stakeholders and the user of mode of transportation to work together to achieve comfort is badly needed. From a row of  accidents that occurred in this month, authorities claimed that the case of human error and modes of transportation have been the problems. The police in their investigations have concluded that the brakes which were not functioning properly and the drivers who did not discipline in road traffic have led to the first rank of the cause of the transportation problems. However, many parties and observers assessed that the lack of control from the transportation authorities and its regulation and the lack of firmness from the police have been the cause the accidents. Then based on these conditions, the president has instructed Ministry of transportation to conduct a thorough evaluation in order to prevent the accidents to do not happen again. However, the transportion operators do not want to be blamed on the accidents lately. According to them, the external factors are also affected, such as the lack of signs or road markings and poor road conditions. To overcome this case, the government has tried to meet safety transportion by improving road infrastructure to regulation with a budget that has increased as well as raising the standard of transportation sefety with reference to international standards.

The question however, whether the improvement of the standard  of transportation safety will reduce the number of accidents? How much the operator is responsible for each accident? Indeed the transportation employees are labors as well as employees or workers in factories or other companies, which should receive the same minimum wages. However, due to high competition the transportation businessmen often ignore the Law No. 13/ 2003 on employment, especially in the wage system. So, what happens in ther field is the operators use or employ the drivers beyond their physical endurance. Therefore, the stakeholders should be able to get around in  field, especially strengthening the infrastructure and do synergy with the field operator in creating safety and convenience in transportation. / /
