Bomb terror in Borussia Dortmund Club

COMMENTARY, 14.04.2017

The bomb attack directed to the bus of football players of Borussia Dortmund team has become world news in a short time. This tragedy has led to numerous allegations about who the bombers are and what the motive of the brutal action is.

The bomb blast that occurred injured one of Borusia Dortmund’s football players, Marc Bartra and he was rushed to hospital for immediate surgery. So far, there have been a lot of comments on this tragedy. The bus of Dortmund team was the target of the bomb attack ahead of the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against AS Monaco on last Wednesday (April 12, 2017). The direct impact of the action is the postponement of the match between two teams Borusia Dortmund and AS Monaco.

Currently, the police are carrying out investigation and trying to find out exactly who the perpetrators are and what the motive is. The first fact that can be presented is that the bomb exploded as a bus was departing from the hotel to the stadium where the football players would compete and had entered the highway. This fact suggests that the bombing was planned. When the bomb incident occurred, a lot of fans had been at the stadium. The second fact indicates that the terror was not intended to blow up the stadium and led to a greater horror. The police said that the bomb threat targeted the bus of Dortmund team.

From the beginning of the investigation, the local police had found a letter near the scene. Based on the instruction, the police have arrested a man suspected to be related to the bombing. For the further investigation, the  police have not disclosed the contents of the letter and the person who allegedly wrote the letter.

Whether the action is such a terror, we can certainly say ‘Yes’. As other terror acts committed are aimed at triggering fears of many people. Therefore,  each terror carried out is by targeting many people and soon the terror becomes hot news. Thus, the impact of terror action can be  disseminated quickly and widely.

Therefore, whatever, wherever and whoever the victims are, the terror action cannot be tolerated. Thus, we certainly support the measures taken by the security forces to soon find the perpetrators and the motive behind such terror action and they must be strongly punished.
