The UN is an international organization founded in San Francisco on October 24, 1945, has a membership of almost all countries in the world. In the African Union summit on June 26, 2014 and in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, UN  Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced the start of a global commemoration of  the 70th anniversary of the United Nations to appreciate the variety of historical achievement of the United Nations in development, peace-keeping and human rights protection. Hopefully, this anniversary will be able to unite the international community for a common  purpose namely, strengthening  the United Nations and building  a better world.  With the theme "Strong UN, Better World ", the UN is always trying to help all countries towards a better direction. The institution that always partial to the people, become the backbone of any country in a crisis or conflict. According to Ban Ki-moon, the year 2015 is an opportunity which will not happen again for the current generation. United Nations task is together to end poverty together, to move forward and build a life with dignity  for all.In celebrating the UN 70th anniversary ,UN  Dag Hammarskjöld Library presents the exploration of 70 key documents that have shaped the United Nations and the world. Although the UN Charter was signed  on June 26 1945, the new UN General Assembly set October 24 as the day the United Nations and October 20 to 26 serves as a United Nations week.
