CEMARA SEWU BEACH

Bantul which is one of regencies in Yogyakarta, has many beaches. One of them which has been recently visited by many tourists, is Cemara Sewu beach. The location of the beach is not difficult to be found, because the beach is near Parangtritis and Parangkusumo beach. The beach is named Cemara Sewu because at the beach, there are thousands of shrimp pine trees. Those trees are planted to withstand abrasion. It makes Cemara Sewu beach different from other beaches.

Cemara Sewu beach is located on Jalan Pantai Parangkusumo, Parangtritis, Kretek sub-district, Bantul regency, Yogjakarta. The beach is suitable for tourists who do not like hot weather. The entrance ticket to the beach is Rp. 5,000 per person, Rp. 3,000for motorcycles, and Rp. 5,000 for cars.The beach has several facilities, such as Gazebo, bridge for Selfie, swing and also stalls which sell various kinds of foods and beverages. 

Arriving at Cemara Sewu beach, you will see simple gate which welcomes the arrival of every visitor. After going through the long alley, you will be welcomed by the shade forest of shrimp pine trees.    When setting your foot at the beach, usually the first word which comes out from your mouth is desolate. If you are twilight lovers, this place is appropriate for you.

When entering the area of Cemara Beach Sewu, you will be welcomed by a simple bamboo bridge. In addition,  visitors will also see a stretch of thousands of meters of black sand covered with sun grass, the typical grass of the southern coast of Java Island. This makes a lot of visitors feel at home on the beach. Cemara Sewu is precisely a quiet beach for relaxing.

Many pine trees along the street of Cemara Sewu beach make the location as if having romantic alley and usually becomes place to take picture before wedding.

The South beach is well-known to have many troughs, including Cemara Sewu beach. Because of that, at the beach, visitors are prohibited to swim. After you are tired to explore the beach, do not be afraid of hunger or thirst, because you can buy food and beverage around the beach.
