This was conveyed by the Director of Prevention of National Agency for Combating Terrorism, (BNPT) Brigadier General Hamidin, to RRI in Jakarta, on Saturday (15/7). According to Hamidin, an active role of the community, especially the parents in controlling the related materials which are widely circulated, became the key to preventing intolerance and radicalism in the midst of their family.

"We have FKPT (Coordination Forum for the Prevention of Terrorism)  in 32 provinces, then FKPT has to work those elements. And we also have means of communication for the people through the Peace Media Center. That's what we are always doing right now. We work together with Communication and Information Ministry to monitor the sites in social media. If we assume it has radical element, we also have mechanisms to block the sites. That's what we do,” said the BNPT Director.
