Gov. receives citizens released by the Philippine military

The government of Indonesia receives two Indonesian citizens who were freed by the Philippine military after being held hostage by armed groups in the Southern Philippines on Friday. The two Indonesians were handed over by the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) Military Command to the Indonesian Defense Attaché in the Philippines, Colonel Asep Syaefudin at Westmincom Headquarters in Zamboanga, the Philippines. Indonesia Defense Attaché in the Philippines, Colonel Asep Syaefuddin was with two Indonesians freed by the Philippine military in an attack on Thursday 9 July. Official information obtained by Antara News Agency in Jakarta reported that the two Indonesians who were released by the Philippine military were Sawal and Saparudin. They are the residents of Majene, West Sulawesi. Both of them were successfully released by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and immediately evacuated to the hospital in Zamboanga for medical treatment. (Ant/Trans by Rhm)


Cooperation of vocational industry between Indonesian & Singaporean to create competent human resources

The cooperation of vocational industry between Indonesia and Singapore is expected to create competent human resources. Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, in an official statement in Jakarta on Friday said that the cooperation is expected to support the provision of competent employees as needed by the international market needs through a link and match program between Vocational and Industrial High Schools. The Ministry of Industry along with Singapore's Ministry of Education (Higher Education and Skills) agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of vocational industrial education and training. This synergy step is believed to improve the economy of both countries. The bilateral commitment is implemented in the signing of Memorandum of Understanding –MoU on development cooperation of vocational industrial education. Indonesia was represented by Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto and Singapore was represented by Singapore’s Education Minister, Ong Ye Kung. (Ant/Trans by Rhm)
