Indonesian children's choir The Resonanz overall winners in Spain

The Resonanz Children's Choir from Indonesia won several awards at the Tolosa Choral Contest in Tolosa, Spain, on Nov. 2 to 5.  In a statement released on Sunday, the choir's project manager  said they came out on top as the overall winner of the competition. The group also won in the children's choir category and the Public Audience Award.  It was the second win of the year for the 40-member choir, who also won first place at the Musica Eterna Roma in Rome, Italy, in July.  The group, which consists of children aged between 10 and 17 years old, performed five songs in the Spanish competition, using both local and European compositions.  The Resonanz was not the only Indonesian group that competed in Tolosa, as Saint Angela from Bandung was also present, winning second place in the children's choir category.   Choir groups from several countries participated in the international competition, including those from Argentina, the Czech Republic, England, Estonia, Lithuania and the United States//   Voi.JP

 

Indonesia is acclaimed as the best dive destination in the world

Indonesia is acclaimed as The Best Dive Destination 2017 by Dive Magazine from the United Kingdom. The award was directly handed over by publisher of Dive Magazine, Graeme Gourlay, to the minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya, at Wonderful Indonesia pavilion at the biggest tourism exhibition of WTM London, on November 6 to 8,2017. Minister Arif Yahya said with the award, Indonesia can keep protecting sustainability of marine tourism. According to the minister, the Dive Magazine award is the recognition of international world that Indonesian diving area is the best comparing other countries.  While, Graeme Gourlay admitted that Indonesia  has the Best Dive Destination in the world with various coral reefs. 25 percent of coral reefs in the world are exist in Indonesian Waters. He also recognized that Indonesia has also done the best preservation and also has a very diverse coral reef which is a very valuable asset.  With a number of 17,000 islands, Indonesia has thousands of species and habibat with the highest loyal visitors, Dive Magazine wrote, that Indonesia has a popular destination; Komodo National Park as well as the stretch of black sand beach and Lembeh Island in Bitung, North Sulawesi//  trs.yati/KBRN
