Sukoharjo, Central Java - Timor Leste's Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao has invited Indonesian investors to make investment in his country.  Xanana invites Indonesian investors saying that investment opportunities are still open wide in Timor Leste, PT Sritex's President Director Iwan Setiawan Lukminto said Sukoharjo, Central Java, on Saturday. He said the Timor Leste prime minister made the offer on the sidelines of his visit to textile factory PT Sritex Sukoharjo, Central Java.
After a meeting with PT Sritex's President Director Iwan Setiawan Lukminto and the firm's chief commissioner Lukminto, planted a 'jambu Dersono' fruit tree within the factory's complex and then made an observation tour of the textile factory. Iwan Setiawan Lukminto said Xanana also invited his company to invest in Timor Leste.  Sukoharjo are very pleased with the invitation to Timor Leste and  Sukoharjo will go there to make an exploration in the first place. He said that what were discussed with the prime minster were still in the form of offer which still needed further follow-up.////Ant

Padang, West Sumatra - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa has called on Indonesian business and industry players to stop exporting raw materials and begin using them to turn out good with added value. It's time for the businessmen and industrialists to refrain from exporting raw materials and to use them instead to manufacture goods with added value, Hatta said in Padang, West Sumatra, Saturday. If Indonesia continued exporting raw materials, the country's natural resources would sooner or later be exhausted without the nation having benefited from them optimally.  By stopping raw material exports and setting up industries to turn them into finished products, the business and industrial community would also be creating more job opportunities for the people. Terminating raw material exports would also end the ironical situation in which Indonesia often imported finished goods that were made with raw materials from Indonesia.  By refraining from exporting raw materials, the business community would also be helping the realization of the national "economic corridor" concept, while conversely, the creation of economic corridors was meant to make it easier for industries to obtain raw materials to turn out finished goods.///Ant.
