As domestic workers in Indonesia gather to mark National Domestic Workers Day, international human rights watchdog Amnesty International has urged the House of Representatives to take concrete steps toward protecting domestic workers in the country by enacting a domestic workers protection law in 2012.
Only five out of 1,800 hospitals existing in Indonesia are currently accredited internationally, and all five are privately-owned, Indonesian Health Minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih said.
