The Indonesian men's team failed to advance to the finals of the Thomas Cup Asian Zone qualifying tournament after losing 3-0 to defending champion China on Friday night.

The Indonesian Immigration Directorate General's spokesman, Maryoto Sumadi, says Yogyakarta's immigration office has taken into custody 35 foreigners, two of them Iranian and the rest Afghani, whose boat became stranded in Bantul waters, south of Yogyakarta
