Waldy Hermansyah, who was born in Jakarta, July 31, 1958, is an Indonesian dangdut singer that was better known as Leo Waldy. On October 11, 2012 Leo Waldy died of lung cancer stadium 4 that he had suffered from 2004. Leo began his career in the Indonesian dangdut music industry as a song composer. Although at first Leo composed pop hits, since 1980s Leo started getting engaged in the Indonesian dangdut music. He had composed hundreds of dangdut songs.

Leo Waldy successfully led Elvy Sukaesih, Indonesian senior dangdut singer who is dubbed as the Queen of Indonesian Dangdut . Since then, Leo started getting considered as a noted song composer in the Indonesian dangdut music. After leading Elvy Sukaesih to fame, Leo Waldy also helped other Indonesian dangdut singers to reach fame such as Swesty Wirabuana and Hetty Koes Endang. Both were Indonesian female singers who dominated the Indonesian music industry in 80s by singing songs composed by Leo Waldy.  Now Leo Waldy has gone, but his works stay alive until now.
